Bonjour,
A lire SVP. Merci

Bonjour! Sorry for my English, but my French is not good enough to share this information. Yesterday was a very crowded day on Lake Champlain, and everyone seemed to be having a great time. However, there were a lot of dangerous situations.... I saw a kite come down hard inches from a little kid (twice), a kite take off with a kayak, a kite take off and nail someone standing in the water, a kiter pulled over the rocks. Three weeks ago, a kiter broke both legs by crashing into a cement wall, and another kiter had to be cut down from a tree. PLEASE BE SAFE AND RESPECTFUL. More so than ever, the park rangers and lifeguards have had many conversations with me about kiters puttiing people in harms way. I regularly remind them that not all kiters are assholes. I am working hard at keeping a positive relationship with them, but it is getting more and more difficult. We run the risk of being banned from our favorite spots. After you are done kiting and go home, I'm still here cleaning up the mess. I know that I take chances and sometimes make mistakes. I wish to remind myself and you all to please be very careful of non kiters, respect and listen to the lifeguards and park rangers, and learn the rules of the water. Don't dominate the right of way position, and share the best spots. Merci! Mike
