If you are making a trip all the way to the West Coast, you need to also try kiting Nitinaht Lake, on Vancouver Island. It is a very special place withthe smoothest thermal wind. It is located amongst 300-1000 year old rainforest and the vibe is incredible.

Victoria is also worth a kite in the summer but the launch \ landing is a little tricky and typically not beginner friendly.

The video in think link was shot mainly at Squamish, Vancouver, and Nitinaht. I have seen it 30+ times and it still gets me stoked.
